Meet Danielle

Hello! My name is Danielle, and I am the heart behind The Faerie Dog Mama Dog Walking & Pet Sitting Services. 🐾✨

I proudly provide compassionate and reliable pet care for families in Grimsby, Lincoln, and Winona, specializing in the care of large breeds, rescue dogs, and pets with unique behavioural or medical needs.

Animals have always been an important part of my life. From a very young age, I was drawn to the beauty and wonder of the natural world and the animals within it. Whether I was exploring the garden, creating small habitats for tiny creatures I discovered, searching tide pools at the beach, or asking my parents to stop so I could say hello to every animal we passed, my love for animals was evident from the beginning. As I grew older, that love naturally evolved into a deep passion for animal rescue. Over the years I developed a strong appreciation for animals of all kinds — big dogs, small dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, rodents, and even reptiles. The more I learned about rescue work, animal behaviour, and the incredible resilience of misunderstood animals, the more committed I became to helping them. Through these experiences, I found myself especially drawn to large breeds, who are often misunderstood or overlooked despite their loving and loyal nature.

My Journey Into Rescue (Meka’s Story)

My passion for rescue was profoundly shaped by my first rescue dog, Meka.

Meka was a Boxer I rescued from a puppy mill when I was 18 years old. She quickly became my heart dog and taught me some of the most important lessons of my life — unconditional love, patience, compassion, and dedication. Meka lived with chronic epilepsy, which meant that much of my time was devoted to ensuring she received the best care possible. Through that journey, I learned how attentive care, patience, and advocacy can dramatically improve a dog’s quality of life. Because of that commitment, Meka was able to live a happy, comfortable, and deeply loved life. When she passed, I knew that the love and knowledge she inspired in me could not stop there. She ignited a lifelong passion for helping other misunderstood or vulnerable animals — especially those who simply need patience, compassion, and someone willing to believe in them.

The Faerie Dog Mama Philosophy

At The Faerie Dog Mama, my goal is always to ensure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while their paw-rents are away. Every walk and visit is approached with patience, understanding, and individualized care tailored to your pet’s personality and needs. The name The Faerie Dog Mama reflects my belief that caring for animals should always include a little bit of magic — the kind that comes from kindness, empathy, and genuine love for the pets I care for. Every visit comes with a small sprinkle of faerie dust, helping make your pet’s day a little brighter. When you trust me with your pets, you can feel confident knowing they are in compassionate, experienced, and loving hands.✨🐾
